We are Bau Bau Berlin, a Berlin-based GmbH (limited liability company) for interiors. That shapes how we think and how we build.

A room carries loads. A room holds climate. A room structures movement. We work in that order: statics first, then material, then measurement. Form follows from those three axes, it does not stand at the beginning.

We work engineer-led. Concretely: every project starts with a survey of the existing substance. A Berlin pre-war building has stucco, Schlackenstein masonry, wooden beam ceilings, walls that meet at angles to each other. A Berlin new build has KVH timber-frame construction, drywall, demanding fire-protection requirements. Both demand different tools and different materials. We choose per project, not per standard.

Bau Bau Berlin is a registered GmbH based in Berlin. We work in our own workshop with our own hands. What we cannot do ourselves, we hand to Berlin trade businesses we have worked with for years.
